On July 21, 2025, the Nika Loves Literacy Program visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Summer Day Camp, where second and third grade campers enjoyed a special storytime and literacy activity.
Each student received a Nika Loves children’s book and a stuffed reading companion, helping encourage imagination, reading confidence, and a love of books.
Programs like this help expand children’s literacy opportunities in the Quad Cities by placing books directly into the hands of young readers.
